Angels and More...

Many of our hounds are seniors who have been with us for a long time, or hounds with problems such as blindness, arthritis, or other issues that have made them practically unadoptable. Some wonderful people have "virtually" adopted them and help us with their care. We'd like to recognize those wonderful "Angels" at this time.

You too can be an Angel if you would like to help. To be an Angel, you pledge to contribute towards the care of the hound or hounds of your choice each month as long as the dog is in foster care, or for however long you wish. The amount you wish to contribute and the duration of the contribution is always at your discretion. For information on how to become an "Angel," please contact Gladys at 417-739-4905.

Neal McAmus
is Mandy and Hootch's Angel.

Mandy is about 10 or 11 year old female who was an owner turn in.  Mandy lived outside her whole life and was terribly neglected.  Her buddy that she lived with died and her owner threatened to put her to sleep because she was trying to get out to find her buddy.  Mandy has since gotten everything she needs starting with a much needed bath and manicure.

Hootch is about 10-11 years old. He is a beautiful big tri colored male.  Hootch weighs about 78-80 pounds.  He is as sweet as he is big.  Hootch has been with us for a couple of years now and would just love to go to the perfect home.

Thank you, Neal!
 Peggy Lou

Marilyn Ham is Peggy Lou's Angel.

Peggy Lou is about 9 or 10 years old and would love a home with a mature couple that has another dog so she can have a buddy. She's also been with us for about 2 years now.

Thank you Marilyn!

Andre Kleinhardt is
Cooper's and Amy's Angel.

Picture of Amy to follow.
Thank you, Andre!

Marianne Strole is Tillie and Caddie's Angel.
TillieCaddie

Tillie is a wonderful girl about 6 years old and she *is* adoptable. She isn't too crazy about other dogs or children, so it's been hard to find her the right home. She's been with us for about a year now.

Caddie is also about 9 years old. She is very fearful of men and is suspicious of most people. When Sissy lost her second eye, Caddie adopted her and is now her "Seeing Eye Dog!"

 Rachael
Wes and Susie McAmus

are Rachael's Angels.

Rachael is a very pretty 8 y/o open tri colored female. She is getting along fine in her foster home with all the other dogs, but sometimes she gets cranky with the younger ones. Her only "fault" is that she's older, and most people want a younger dog.
