Hello, my name is Buster.
Boy, do I have a story to tell. Right before Christmas a nice lady saw me roaming the streets of Oklahoma. She saw how hungry tired and dirty I was so she stopped. She does rescue as well but not basset rescue so she called the folks at 4 The Hounds. I was originally in the shelter. A nice family adopted me and took good care of me. They had to move away so they sold me to another family that really shouldn't have had a dog. They were not very nice to me. I was hit by a car, so one of my legs is a bit weak but don't let that fool you, I get around just fine. They ended up leaving me on the side of the road. It is hard to find good groceries that way so I lost my basset figure. My new foster home is working on that. Boy, do I love it here. There are so many hound sisters and brothers. I am welcome to stay until another family decides they want quite the gentleman.
I am up to date on shots and heartworm. I just need to work on my waistline.

Ben - Basset Hound

Meet Ben, a man found him on the road.
Naturally, he went to one of our vets we use in Oklahoma!
They estimate him to be about four years old.
The bottom of his ears are very torn up. He has been neutered and he just needs his shots and heartworm check.
He is a real sweetie pie!

Bernie - Basset Hound

Bernie is three years old.
Exceptional sweet boy. Loves to play. His vetting is almost done. He needs to be neutered but this is a busy time of year so he will be ready after January 1st. Not a big barker but a big lover.

Dodger - Basset/Hound Mix

Hi, Dodger here!
Dodger is about six years old. He is as sweet as the day is long. We were going to sent him to an all breed rescue but it is so hard to part with such a dear sweet boy. He is neutered, up to date on shots and on heartworm preventative. If you want a dear sweet boy with lots of love and energy he is your boy.

Elmo - Basset Hound

Elmo is three to four years old.
He is shy at first put give him some time and he will warm up to you.
He is all ready to go to his forever home.
He would prefer to be your only love child.
In Elmo's ideal world, he would prefer not to share his new Mom and Dad with children.

Fred - Basset Hound

Hi, my name is Fred.
I know I am not your normal looking basset but, hey, what is normal today in rescue? My problem is purely cosmetic. I was born this way because some backyard breeder just didn't do his or her homework. When they saw how I came out they decided I wasn't worth having so they tossed me out on the road. No kidding, I get around just as well as the next guy or gal! I am one to two years old and full of love. My doctors tell the folks at 4 The Hounds my leg can't be fixed and since it causes me no pain, and I actually use it, the best thing is to leave it alone. The vet was against amputation as were my saviors at 4 The Hounds. I can keep up with the best of them.
If you will give me a chance to love you and bring joy into your family!

Henry - Basset Hound

Henry is a tri colored male basset.
He is neutered and up to date on all of his shots.
He is six years old.
He walks well on a leash and would love to walk through your front door.

Ralph is a basset mix.
He is two years old, neutered, and up to date on shots and heatworm.
He is a talker and would love to converse with you as his new forever home. He is very sweet and a good boy, all he needs is a loving forever home!

Reily - Basset Hound

Reily is between six and seven years old. He was found as a stray by the shelter workers. Up to date on shots and on heartworm preventative. He has been neutered. Reily loves everyone two legs and four. He has dry eye which requires a drop in both eyes twice a day. No biggy he is great about the drops and everything else. He is ready for his new home.

Ruby - Basset Hound / Mix

This is Ms. Ruby. She is truly a gem just like the stone. Talk about sweet? They don't come sweeter. She is about a year old. Momma or pop was a full basset the other part we think may have been a German Short Hair Pointer. You can't tell Ruby that she says she is all basset. She loves to run and play. She wouldn't mind going for a jog with her new forever parent or parents. She is fully vetted and ready to go.

Stanley - Basset Hound

Stanley is three years old.
He is up to date on all of his shots.
He gets along well with his friends at the kennel.
He came in with Bernie which was a good thing because the previous owner was a hoarder.
He is a very handsome BIG BOY and he walks well on a leash.
So, if you are interested in a handsome and gentle boy -- then Stan is your man!
