The Adoption Process
All of our dogs are vet checked prior to being put up for adoption. They are spayed or neutered, checked for heartworms and treated if necessary, and placed on preventative. They are also checked for parasites and all other health problems and treated if needed so we can assure a healthy, happy pet for your family. As a result of these costs, 4 The Hounds Basset Rescue must ask for an adoption fee to help offset our expenses.

If you have already visited our Available Hounds here on our website and you see one that you are interested in, please contact Gail Sutton, our adoption coordinator, for more information about the dog. After you have made the important decision to adopt, you can apply online now or if you prefer to have an application form mailed to you, please contact Gail and she will be happy to accomodate you. After your application is approved, you will be notified and arrangements will then be made for you to receive your new friend.
